Behind the Scenes for Groundsleepers Liberated Solitude in Death Live Video
Though not everything went as planned with the Video Recordings that evening, I still really like that we managed to capture at least one song pretty well.
Audio was just taken from the static recording with my phone, we had 2 zoom mics from Endless in front of the stage, but honestly I really liked the sound of my phone recording for some reason.
Liberated Solitude is my favourite song anyways, so I’m not really mad that not more songs would see the light of day
I feel I captured the Atmosphere pretty well from in there, it was a very good evening
This was definitely the last time I do both the sound and the filming, balancing those two jobs ended up with me actually just running around for 45mins, it was horribly stresful. (Especially if I’m the Headliner as well, I’m a fucking idiot)
Setup was supposed to be:
2 Action Cameras
1 Static Camera
1 Zoom Mic
but I’ve lost the charger for one of my cameras which is why I ended up only having one Action Cam, handled by yours truly. Originally I wanted to film the whole set of each band, but the evening had other plans for me.
Most of the Groundsleeper Songs are unusable because I didn’t film enough on foot.
Perditus Static Camera was set up horribly, all you can see are the backs of the viewers. There was no Action Cam.
Endless Solitude had a lot of sound problems (100% our fault), which I, as the soundguy, had to solve
